Incident Investigation
Incident Investigation is a process that is focused on uncovering the root cause of an event, such as a workplace accident, and preventing reoccurrences of that event. An essential step in this process is gathering pertinent information and documentation regarding the facility and personnel involved. This information can be obtained through interviews and scene observations, as well as, photographs of the area and equipment involved. Once information is gathered, it is analyzed by the investigation team to determine the root cause of the incident.HGI’s Safety & Health professionals will work closely with key management to establish recommendations for corrective actions, which can include site-specific training and lessons learned.
