Jeff Robinson Provides Insight for Accident-Free Workplace

DULUTH, GA – September 4, 2007. Jeff Robinson, CSP, P.E. recently provided insight for creating an accident-free workplace in an article which appeared in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The article titled, Safety Web – An Accident-Free Workplace is Just a Few Clicks Away, appeared in the August 31-September 6, 2007 issue. Mr. Robinson is the Manager of Safety & Health Services at Harrington Group, Inc., and is the current President of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).

The article focused on resources available to small and mid-sized companies to help develop an accident-free workplace. One such resource mentioned was the Small Business Handbook for Safety and Health, provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition to discussing resources, Mr. Robinson provided insight on the various costs associated with worker injuries significantly affecting a company’s bottom line. He said, “Companies need to hire safety managers who will not just inspect a workplace for safety hazards, but also can handle the math in determining how injuries and sickness can drain a company’s resources.” The article also discussed an injury management system provided by Harrington Group called CompEraser, a resource that can help companies quantify and greatly reduce the total costs of worker injuries.
