Thad Christensen Joins Harrington Group DULUTH, GA – May 1, 2006 – Harrington Group is pleased to announce the addition of Thad Christensen, P.E. to the engineering team. Thad is a registered professional fire protection engineer in Virginia and Maryland, and graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is also an Associate Member of SFPE. Thad will be acting as Associate Project Manager, working with Dale Hansen, P.E. on many ongoing and new projects.Prior to Harrington Group, Thad served as President of EMC Fire Protection Engineering, Virginia. Before that, he was employed for several years by Fire Watch Services in Virginia where he was Engineering Manager, and worked closely with authorities having jurisdiction to resolve fire safety issues regarding code interpretation. During his career, Thad has been involved in the design of thousands of fire protection systems for various types of facilities such as high-rise buildings, storage facilities, historical structures, and parking structures. Most recently, he designed the fire protection system for a 700,000 sq. ft. Raytheon Systems facility consisting of storage, laboratories, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, anechoic chambers, metal fabrication, cafeteria, and office space.
