Phil Friday Appointed to NFPA Technical Committee on Hazardous Chemicals
DULUTH, GA — MAY 5, 2004 — Phillip A. Friday, Fire Protection Consultant / Fire Investigator with Harrington Group, Inc., has been appointed as a principal member of the Technical Committee on Hazardous Chemicals by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
The Committee on Hazardous Chemicals is responsible for writing the following codes and standards:- NFPA 40, Standard for the Storage and Handling of Cellulose Nitrate Film
- NFPA 42, Code for the Storage of Pyroxylin Plastic
- NFPA 430, Code for the Storage of Liquid and Solid Oxidizers
- NFPA 432, Code for the Storage of Organic Peroxide Formulations
- NFPA 434, Code for the Storage of Pesticides
- NFPA 490, Code for the Storage of Ammonium Nitrate
- NFPA 704, Standard System for the Identification of the Hazards of Materials for Emergency Response.
