Jeff Harrington, President and founder of Harrington Group, is a registered fire protection engineer with over 35 years of experience in fire protection design, property loss control, and code consulting. He is a frequent author and lecturer on a wide variety of fire protection engineering topics. Jeff is Chairman of the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) Technical Committee on Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems, which is responsible for three separate NFPA standards: NFPA 12, Carbon Dioxide Extinguishing Systems; NFPA 12A, Halon 1301 Fire Extinguishing Systems, and NFPA 2001, Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems. He is also a leader in the activities of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), both locally and internationally.

Jim Rucci, Executive Vice President of Harrington Group, is a registered fire protection engineer with over 35 years of experience. He has become a nationally recognized expert in fire alarm system design, carbon dioxide and clean agent gaseous extinguishing system design, building and fire code analysis, foam fire suppression, and electric power generating facility fire protection. Jim is a member (alternate to Jeff Harrington) of the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) Technical Committee on Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems, which is responsible for three separate NFPA standards: NFPA 12, Carbon Dioxide Extinguishing Systems; NFPA 12A, Halon 1301 Fire Extinguishing Systems, and NFPA 2001, Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems. He is also an active participant in the activities of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).

Dale Hansen is a registered fire protection engineer with more than 16 years of engineering, building and fire code consulting, and construction contract management experience. He previously served in the U.S. Navy as a Civil Engineer Corps officer, where he fulfilled positions as a resident engineer, hospital facility engineer, and contracting officer. His areas of expertise include fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems, fire pumps and water supplies, hazardous materials, high-piled combustible storage, frozen food warehouses, model building and fire codes, life safety systems, smoke control systems, industrial and chemical plants, government facilities, and healthcare facilities. Dale is an active member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, both locally and nationally, and formerly served as President of the Greater Atlanta Chapter.
Principal
Phil Friday, Senior Fire Protection Engineer and Fire Investigator, is a registered fire protection engineer with more than 14 years of experience in the industry. He is an expert in fire protection system design, building and fire code analysis, fire origin and cause determination, forensic fire reconstruction and computer fire modeling, and fire protection system failure analysis. Phil currently serves as an officer on the Executive Committee of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of SFPE (Society of Fire Protection Engineers) and is also an active member of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), serving as a voting member of the NFPA Hazardous Chemicals Committee. In 2009, Phil was named as one of Consulting Specifying Engineer magazine’s “40 Under 40”, an award given annually to 40 building industry engineers under the age of 40 who shine in their academic, professional, personal, and community achievements.
